My beautiful Aunt Karen, my mother's youngest sister, passed away this morning, around 4am, 12 July 2012, with her loved ones at her side. She was always so kind and sweet and caring.
She has had cancer, three times, for several years. She went to the University of California at Berkeley and studied English and spent a lot of time with us (me as a baby above, my sister at Lake Tahoe below) when we were little.
Sending all thoughts and prayers to my lovely cousins, Alissa and Maeley, and Aunt Karen's loving partner, Art.
