What We Did Before the Hurricane Came

 

Bike ride #1 around 9am Saturday morning.

Bike ride #2 about 90 minutes later; it was supposed to be a long one but needling rain sent Jim and Charlie back home after which we made a trip to -- of course -- stock up on edible items.

Then it poured, Jim and Charlie conked out, I blogged and chopped vegetables and made a peach and raspberry crisp.

I also spent most of the day charging and recharging all of our iDevices and especially Charlie's iPad -- we're expecting to lose our power. I've loaded all of Charlie's music onto the little iPod Nano he's yet to show any interest in: Best be prepared, right?

The rain has been coming down in torrential bursts and the wind is swirling. If you're here on the East Coast in the storm, hope you and yours are keeping safe and dry!

(And don't worry: We have a car charger to keep the music playing for Charlie.)

I'm in Philadelphia and have yet to have gone to sleep. I was so fearful of my basement flooding. Hope yourself and the family made it through okay.

And the Raspberry Crisp? RECIPE?
