News and Not News

Not news first! Charlie stayed up till 5am, spending the night in either a cheerful pacing mood or an intensely hyper pacing mode.

(We have a week of steamy humidity ahead of us, plus the July 4th holiday, and a tornado did touch down in New Jersey.)

At some relatively early point in the night, I heard the sound of the kitchen sink on at full blast and found Charlie washing his hands with full immersion in the water -- a first. For years, "wash hands" has meant just putting in the tips of his index fingers.
