Working Papers

Charlie is starting in the Workability program (last Friday, his job was to clean up the Richmond auditorium). On Monday, Jim texted me (I was at work) to ask for his social security number so Charlie can get his working papers. His teacher plans to set up a "bank" for him at school to deposit his earnings; he can use them when he and his class go to the likes of Burger King on a field trip.

In honor of this development, I thought it appropriate to post a photo of the street down which Charlie and Jim start their daily local rides and upon which I race-walk weekday mornings on my way down the bike path to catch BART.
